DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF) – The City of Dallas is advising its employees of a possible ransomware attack.
A memo to employees from the City of Dallas Chief Financial Officer said that a number of servers are being impacted by a possible ransomware attack. The city’s security monitoring tools notified the Security Operations Center about the likely attack.
The city is working to remove the ransomware from infected servers, and investigating exactly what happened.
Dallas Police say the department is being impacted on its website but 911 is not affected.
