Dallas (WBAP/KLIF) – A suspect who fled the country ten years ago to avoid a murder charge now admits he did it. Gerardo Alvarez was extradited back to Texas from Mexico in 2021. Thursday he pleaded guilty to the murder of his boss, Todd Fenton, who was shot several times in the back at the Carrolton-Farmers Branch School District’s bus yard. That plea was part of a deal that will see Alvarez sentenced to 30 years in prison.
