(WBAP/KLIF) — With early voting in full swing, one race getting attention is the Fort Worth Mayor’s race.
On the ballot along with incumbent Mattie Parker are Adrian Devine Smith, Kenneth Bowens, Jr., Alyson Kennedy and Jennifer Castillo. If elected, Castillo would propose a new salary policy where the mayor only gets paid based on production. She also has a plan to address homelessness, city spending, and promoting Fort Worth’s business-friendly atmosphere. Castillo is a real estate professional and understands the ineffectiveness of the city’s current property tax solution. She believes her experience helping residents find homes, qualifies her to address the issue of the high property tax rate.
Election day is Saturday, May 6th, while early voting continues through Tuesday, May 2nd.
