EVERMAN (WBAP/KLIF News ) – The stepfather of a missing Everman child is accused of stealing $10,000 from his employer before he and his family fled to India as the search for six year old Noel Rodriguez-Alvarez intensified.
35-year-old Arshdeep Singh and 37-year-old Cindy Rodriguez-Singh took their six children overseas just before an Amber Alert was issued for Noel on March 25.
Everman Police Chief Craig Spencer updated the public on the case on Tuesday and said charges continue to mount.
“One warrant issued for Cindy for giving false information related to a missing child case. She also have an additional warrant for violation of probation…felony two warrants for abandoning or endangering a child…and now we’ve got a felony theft charge for Arshdeep,” he said.

Investigators said on Rodriguez-Singh started the process of getting passports for the family but not Noel.
Chief Spencer said Arshdeep Singh allegedly used his credit card in March to purchase plane tickets less than 24 hours before he, Cindy and the six kids flew to India without Noel.
He said Singh altered his company’s cash deposit records and took the $10,000 in cash and then deposited $8,000 of that into his bank account. Investigators released surveillance video of him depositing money into the bank.
Chief Spencer said crews do not have any more searches planned for now. Police and crews conducted ground and drone searches in two different areas on Saturday.
Police believe that Noel is dead although his body has yet to be found. Extended family members said they haven’t seen him since last November.
