DFW (WBAP/ KLIF) – Volunteers with Southern Baptists of Texas Convention Disaster Relief, are heading to Arkansas following Friday’s dead tornado. SBTC Disaster Relief Director, Scottie Stice, says feeding units are on their way to Little Rock to support families as well as first responders affected by the storm.
Stice says, “We’ll have a mass care kitchen which is capable of producing 10,000 meals a day traveling and we’re planning to get all the logistics in place. We serve first meals on Monday.”
Friday’s violet storm has killed more than 20 people and caused extensive property damage. Stice says the volunteer teams will remain in Arkansas as long as needed.
