Texas (WBAP/KLIF) – Texas Baptist Men will deploy several disaster relief teams and equipment to Mississippi where a deadly EF-4 tornado roared through Saturday killing at dozens of people and decimating entire towns. TBM spokesman John hall says that based on images and video from the region, they’ve got a big job ahead of them.

As search and rescue operations are winding down, TBM hopes to be able to deploy this week with mobile food stations, heavy equipment, chaplains and more.

TBM deploys worldwide in times of disaster. Check their website for information on volunteering of their disaster relief ministry.

At least 25 people were killed and dozens of others were injureed. Also in the region, a man was killed in Alabama after his trailer home flipped over several times.

“Everything I can see is in some state of destruction,” said Jarrod Kunze, who drove to the hard-hit Mississippi town of Rolling Fork from his home in Alabama, ready to help “in whatever capacity I’m needed.”

Kunze was among volunteers working Sunday at a staging area, where bottled water and other supplies were being readied for distribution.
