
DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF) – Dallas ISD Police have arrested a suspect in Tuesdays shooting at Thomas Jefferson High School in northwest Dallas. A student is recovering after being shot in the arm in a parking lot. Police have not identified the individual in custody and no motive has been determined.
Superintendent Stephanie Elizalde said on Wednesday that Police believe the shooting was isolated, but more Officers will be on campus through the rest of this week.
Elizalde said the district is considering other options too.
The student shot is expected to be okay.
Three staff members are being praised for their quick response to help the victim.
