UPDATED: 11:49AM 3/14/23 Dallas (WBAP/KLIF) – Dallas Cowboys great Michael Irvin and his attorney, Levi McCathern, released surveillance footage at the heart of a $100 million dollar lawsuit Tuesday morning.
The video is taken from the Phoenix Renaissance Hotel and shows the interaction between Irvin and hotel employee who had accused the Hall of Famer of making sexual advances towards her.
Following the allegations, Irvin was dropped by the NFL Network and ESPN Super Bowl coverage. Before the video was played, Irvin talked about the battle to get the video publicly released.
“You guys know how hard we fought to get this tape. While I was sitting there and you all were looking at me… we kept asking for the tape ‘Let us see…let us see what we’re doing…let us see if we’re doing something. We fought hard legally. So I am just thankful,” he said.
McCathern went through parts of the video in detail to describe what he said was a normal interaction.
“The complaining employee…she looks very happy…she does a little kick at the end…a little kind of sashay you’ll see…and she continues talking to Michael like back over her shoulder…like happily as she’s leaving and she seems to be in a very good mood,” he said.
The video’s release comes after Irvin’s legal team dropped a $100 million lawsuit against the hotel and his accuser in North Texas with plans to re-file the suit in an Arizona court.
