(WBAP/KLIF) — FBI Director Christopher Wray announced that B. Chad Yarbrough has been selected as the Special Agent in Charge of the Dallas Field Office.

According to the FBI’s Melinda Urbina, Yarbrough comes from Washington D.C., where he was Deputy Assistant Director in the Criminal Investigative Fivision. Yhe search took a total five months and Urbina says Yarbrough is well-qualified as the new special agent in charge, grew up in Van Zandt County, and is a graduate of Sam Houston State University.
The new head of the Dallas Field Office has worked in a variety of FBI assignments in Chicago, Pittsburgh, Mobile (Alabama), and Washington D.C. Yarbrough replaces Matthew DeSarno who retired from the Dallas Field Office, last October.
