PLANO (WBAP/KLIF) – Plano ISD is notifying parents of a teacher who has been fired over allegations by a former student.
According to a letter sent to parents on Friday, a former student of Michael Lloyd recently came forward with allegations that are said to have happened between 2005 and 2009 at Williams High school. Lloyd was most recently employed at McMillen High School.
“Plano ISD does not condone nor will tolerate any employee who engages in the type of inappropriate, unethical and harmful behavior alleged in this instance,” the letter read. “The district took immediate action and opened an ongoing investigation, in addition to making appropriate reports to law enforcement authorities and the State Board for Educator Certification. Immediately after receiving notification from the former student, Mr. Lloyd was placed on administrative leave and is no longer employed by Plano ISD.”
Administrators believe the incident was isolated but are asking anyone who may had similar experiences with Lloyd to contact police.
