(WBAP/KLIF) — A Dallas Cowboy hall-of-fame wide receiver files multi-million-dollar lawsuit. Former Cowboy Michael Irvin has filed a lawsuit in Collin County in the aftermath of being removed from Super Bowl coverage by both the NFL Network and ESPN over an exchange with an employee of an Arizona hotel.
The lawsuit says Irvin exchanged pleasantries with a hotel employee lasting less than a minute and that the hotel manager then inflamed the situation which led to Irvin’s removal. The lawsuit is asking for $100-million dollars in damages.
Irvin was working for the NFL network when he was abruptly pulled from super bowl coverage due to an encounter with a woman at a phoenix hotel. In an interview with “105.3 The Fan” Irvin says he was falsely accused of misconduct by a female employee.
the 56-year-old filed the lawsuit in Collin County against “Jane Doe” and Marriott International, Inc.
