(WBAP/KLIF) — Governor Greg Abbott appoints a former Dallas County Commissioner to a judgeship.
The governor selected J.. Koch, Wednesday, to serve as judge in Dallas County’s Criminal District Number-2. Koch replaces Democrat Nancy Kennedy who won a seat on the Fifth District Court of Appeals. The former Dallas County Commissioner will serve for a term set to expire at the end of 2024.
Koch lost his re-election bid for commissioner last November to Democratic candidate Andrew Sommerman.
