FRISCO (WBAP/KLIF News ) – The Frisco ISD board will discuss several hot button issues at its meeting tonight.
They’re considering requiring students to use bathrooms aligned with their gender assigned at birth, how the library should handle which books are allowed and the rezoning of some campuses next year.
Frisco ISD currently does not have an official bathroom policy but the district does work with families and campus staff to make sure students are comfortable.
Earlier this year, some parents asked the district to adopt a policy that critics argue is anti-transgender.
It’s unclear how far the district will go when it comes to which library books will be allowed on campuses.
It’s an issue that has boiled over in several North Texas school districts this past year.
The meeting starts at 5:30 p.m.
According to the agenda, there will be public comment at tonight’s meeting.
