(WBAP/KLIF) — More than a quarter century of service ends for a Tarrant County judge. After 26 years of service, Tarrant County Judge Glen Whitley gave his final ‘State of the County’ address, Friday, at the Worthington Renaissance Hotel in Fort Worth.
A packed house at the Worthington heard Judge Whitley’s final State of the County report. According to Whitley, he never thought he’d be where he is today, thanking his wife, Brenda, and all those in attendance. Amid the gestures of appreciation, the address focused on a positive financial outlook and optimistic future for the state’s third largest county. Whitley has been serving as Tarrant County Judge since 2007 and on the commission as a whole for 26 years. Reflecting on serving the nation’s 16th most populous county, the long-time judge admired the work accomplished.
Whitley will retire at the end of his current term in January.
