(WBAP/KLIF) — A Timbercreek High School student was arrested, Thursday, for bringing a gun to school.
The incident occurred at about 11:40 am, Thursday, at Timbercreek High School in Fort Worth. School officials received a warning from a student that a classmate had brought a gun to school. The school’s resource officer quickly found the 17-year-old student and confiscated the firearm.
The student was arrested on suspicion of violating “places where weapons are prohibited”, a third-degree felony. The Fort Worth Police Department credits the resource officer and student for averting a potential tragedy.
The incident is also a reminder of the importance of following the “See Something, Say Something” initiative.
