Two Sasche Police Officers Injured in Brazen Overnight Shooting

SASCHE (WBAP/KLIF News ) – The Sasche Police Department released details about a brazen shooting early Friday morning that left two officers injured.

It happened around midnight at the Methodist Urgent Care Center at 7760 State Highway 78.

While completing a call for service, the suspect walked up to the driver side of the police squad car and fired a shotgun through the window.

The officer in the driver seat was hit in the head by the shotgun blast. The second officer returned fire, hitting the suspect.

Both officers suffered non-life threatening injuries and were released from the hospital.

The suspect had surgery and his condition in unkown.

The Texas Rangers are investigating the shooting.
