Dr. Anthony Fauci Tests Positive for COVID-19

WASHINGTON (AP) – Dr. Anthony Fauci, the Director of the National Insititue of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, has tested positive for COVID-19.

According to a statement from the NIAID, Fouci is experiencing mild symptoms and will isolate and continue to work from home.

Fauci tested positive on a rapid antigen test and has not recently been in close contact with President Joe Biden or other senior government officials, according to the statement.

Fauci is fully vaccinated against the virus and has received two booster shots.

Fauci has acted as Chief Medical Advisor to President Biden since Biden took office in January, 2021.
