(WBAP/KLIF) – Reports indicate country singer Toby Keith was diagnosed with stomach cancer last fall, and has received chemotherapy, radiation and surgery, but will step down for the time being from stage performances.
The 60 year old singer says “I am looking forward to spending this time with my family, but I will see the fans sooner than later. I can’t wait”.
Keith began the Toby Keith Foundation in 2006. The group works toward free housing for child cancer patients The foundation opened OK Kids Korral, in 2014; a free home for young cancer patients under the care of The Children’s Hospital at OU Medical Center in Oklahoma.
