Fort Worth – White Settlement (WBAP/KLIF) – One person is dead after an isolated shooting at Lockheed Martin’s main gate this morning. White Settlement police responded to the location around 5:35am, where a man was found dead in a vehicle; a suspicious package was found as well.
WSPD Chief Chris Cook said that prior to the shooting the suspect made comments about looking for a federal agent on Lockheed’s property. Based on those comments the department expanded its initial perimeter while the Fort Worth Bomb Squad investigated the package.
Cook said that it’s believed that the shooter killed himself.

White Settlement Police are updating the situation via Twitter saying its initial perimeter area has been expanded due to a suspicious device in the suspect’s vehicle. TFederal authorities are headed to the scene.
Spur 341 northbound is completely closed. Employees can only access Lockheed via Cherry Lane at Gate 2.
