Dallas Police Make Arrest in Duncanville Woman’s Murder

DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF News ) – Dallas Police Department homicide detectives made an arrest in the case of a missing Duncanville woman whose body was found in a tarp in a wooded area in south Dallas this week.

Clinton Smith is in the Dallas County jail awaiting a bond hearing on charges connected to 54-year-old Juanita Rodriguez’ killing.

Her body was found in the 3000 block of South Ledbetter Drive on Wednesday, April 20.

Initially her death was ruled unexplained but the Dallas County Medical Examiner determined she died from a gunshot wound.

Rodriguez family had reported her missing on on Saturday, April 18. The next day, Duncanville Police said her car had been found abandoned along Navy Avenue.

Details about Smith’s relationship with Rodriguez or what led to his arrest have not been released.
