Fort Worth (WBAP/KLIF) – Amid a long-fought legal batter to keep her alive, a FTW toddler has been released from Cook Children’s Hospital.

Lewis was sent home last Thursday according to the Dallas Morning News after being hospitalized and kept on respirator for most of her life.

Tinslee came into the world prematurely in 2019 with a rare heart condition and other ailments. When the child was about 9-months old, her mother, Trinity Lewis started a legal battle to keep her alive.

In a Facebook post last week, Lewis said, quote, “I’m sorry but I can’t hold it in any longer, today my baby came home and I’m filled with joy and emotions right now.”

Lewis thanked her family and Texas Right to Life, which publicized the case.

There was no mention in the post about whether Tinslee was still on a respirator, but her mother said she was doing well.

The post ends with, “I’m officially a two car-seat mom” in all caps.

In 2019, Texas Right to Life, and anti-abortion organization led efforts that resulted in a Tarrant County judge signing a restraining order against preventing Cook Children’s from ending Tinslee’s care.
