(WBAP/KLIF) — The construction time-line of the D.A.R.T Silver Line is in the red.
Officials with Dallas Area Rapid Transit say the opening date for the Plano to DFW Airport line has been pushed to 2024. Dart spokesman Gordon Shattles says the two year delay of the much-anticipated Sliver Line is the result of land acquisition problems, construction delays, and the COVID-19 pandemic.
According to the Dallas Morning News, the line was scheduled to open in 2022 but issues with land acquisition issues have contributed to the setback.
