DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF) – The Transportation Security Administration is holding a joint recruiting event on February 22 and 23 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. to assist individuals interested in a career as a Transportation Security Officer at Dallas Fort Worth International Airport and Dallas Love Field Airport.
Previous law enforcement experience is not required for applicants interested in these positions.
“This event is to assist candidates through our hiring process to get them into our ready pool of new hires and help them navigate the federal hiring process,” said DFW Airport TSA Federal Security Director Kriste Jordan Smith. “New officers will receive extensive training at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center and they will be paid during this training.”
Attendees at the recruiting event will receive information about full- and part-time TSO positions and have the opportunity to complete multiple steps of the hiring process.
According to Amy Williams, DAL Airport TSA Federal Security Director, “If you’re looking to build a rewarding career and serve your country, you’ve come to the right place. TSA offers opportunities for a wide range of candidates – whether you’re an experienced business professional, recent college or high school graduate or transitioning military personnel”.
As part of the presentation sessions during the event, TSA will provide an overview of working for the federal government and discuss benefits, which include paid leave, health care plans for both full- and part-time employees, 401k coverage and more.
The event is happening at The Renaissance Dallas North Hotel.
