Dallas (AP) – Dallas Police have arrested a 60 year old man for the 1984 rape and murder of a 21 year old woman. Detectives say they linked Edward Morgan to the crime through genealogical databases. He was arrested Friday, and is being held at the Dallas County jail. Morgan will face capital murder charges in the killing of Mary Jane Thompson. She was an aspiring model who moved to Dallas about six months before her death. She was last seen two days before her body was found behind a warehouse. She had been sexually assaulted, and strangled by her leg warmers.
