(WBAP/KLIF) — Governor Greg Abbott wants to empower parents in the education of their children. The governor wants to grant parents access to all course curriculum and materials, while ensuring that school personnel convicted of providing “pornographic materials” to minors would “lose their public credentials and state licensing.”
Abbott, Thursday, unveiled a plan that would give parents more power over educational decisions for their children. In the wake of obscene books being found in school district libraries, the governor is doing something about it. A new plan unveiled by the Republican governor aims at cracking down on school districts that allow children access to obscene content.
Abbott’s “Parental Bill of Rights” was unveiled during a campaign stop in Lewisville, Thursday, during a campaign stop as he seeks a third term as governor of Texas.
