DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF) – The City of Dallas is offering incentives to Ford as it pursues becoming the home of the company’s next self-driving vehicle facility.
The Ford Facility would bring an expected 250 jobs to the Love Field area. Dallas and two cities in California are Ford’s top finalists.
During its Wednesday meeting, the Dallas City Council approved about $3 million in tax breaks over five years.
“We’ve got to continue to be creative to bring in great businesses to the city,” Mayor Pro-Tem Chad West said.
In exchange for the tax breaks, Ford would invest $160 million in the facility. It’s not clear when Ford will announce its decision.
