Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo Begins Jan. 14

FORT WORTH (WBAP/KLIF)- The Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo returns this weekend.

After not having the event last year due to Covid-19, Matt Brockman with the FWSSR said they are ready to welcome big crowds while having multiple health and safety measures in place.

“We typically get more than 1.2 million guests during the 23 day run of the show so there’s a lot of pent up excitement about the show to start on Friday and we are going to be ready to go.” said Brockman. “Having not had the show in 2021 we have worked hard to ensure that the offerings and shows we have, we are providing a full array of services and events,” he said.

Masks and proof of vaccinated status will not be required to attend events. Brockman said they have many health and safety steps in place to ensure all guests are protected and feel comfortable attending the events.

“We do not have mandates but at the same time we are providing some measures that we feel will help assure people that we are doing as much as we can to ensure the health and safety of all our guests,” said Brockman.

There will be sanitizing stations, Tarrant County Public Health will be offering vaccine clinics for those who want one and the arenas have air purifying systems and heavy duty sterilization procedures in place.

The Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo is the city’s oldest and largest public event. It will run from January 14th to February 5th, 2022.
