GARLAND (WBAP/KLIF) – The Garland Police Department said late Monday that a 14-year-old suspect wanted in the killings of three teenagers inside a local convenience store had been arrested.
The shooting happened Sunday night at the Texaco on Walnut Street, near Downtown Garland.
According to Garland PD, surveillance video showed a suspect getting out of a white 4-door Dodge pickup truck and begin shooting as he walked through the store’s door, hitting four men who police believe were together.
“We’re still investigating but it’s not believed this shooting was a random robbery,” said Lt. Pedro Barineau. It’s possible the victims were targeted.”
Police said on Monday that all four teenagers who were shot range in age from 14 to 17 years-old. All victims shot are Hispanic males. The deceased are identified as 14-year-old Xavier Gonzalez, 16-year-old Ivan Noyala, and 17-year-old Rafael Garcia.
The 15-year-old that was transported to the hospital is in stable condition. He was an employee of the store, and his identity is not being released.
A suspected get away driver is still on the loose, according to Police. Anyone with information on the shooting is asked to call GPD.
