Cowboys, Chiefs fail to meet expectations.

DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF News) – Patrick Mahomes and Dak Prescott are widely acknowledged to be two of the best quarterbacks in the NFL. Their teams, the Kansas City Chiefs and Dallas Cowboys, rank among the league’s highest scoring offenses and Sunday’s game at Arrowhead stadium was expected to be a shootout, but for all their firepower they only managed one touchdown between them. That gave the Kansas City the upper hand in an anemic offensive performance by both QBs.

Finale score: KC 19, Dallas 6.

The Cowboys never sniffed the goal line as their offensive line leaked like a sieve, allowing the Chiefs to sack Prescott five times, the most assaults he’s suffered since 2018 in a game against the Saints.

To make matters worse for Dallas, adding injury to injury, CeeDee Lamb suffered a concussion near the end of the first half and Ezekiel Elliott tweaked an ankle. Their availability for the upcoming game against Las Vegas is unknown. Wide receiver Amari Cooper will miss a second game as he recovers from COVID-19.

About the only good thing that came from all of this for the Cowboys is they won’t have a lot of time to stew over their failures. The Raiders game is Thanksgiving Day at home in Arlington, kickoff at 3:30 p.m.
