ADDISON (WBAP/KLIF News) – A North Texas Independence Day tradition is back this year and free tickets to the event are now available online.

Addison Kaboom Town will be held Saturday, July 3rd.

The event was canceled last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, forcing organizers to stream the fireworks show online.

This year, the event will feature the fireworks and concerts, starting with the Manhattan Band at 5 p.m. and Walk This Way – A Tribute to Aerosmith at 7:30 p.m.

The fireworks show starts at 9:30 p.m.

Due to limited capacity at Addison Circle Park, the free tickets will be required to enter the park.

However, organizers said the fireworks and the Addison Airport Flyover can be seen from any part of town. Some local restaurants are hosting viewing parties.
