[UPDATED] Amber Alert Issued For 2 Dallas Children [FOUND SAFE]

Dallas (WBAP/KLIF) – The man who was the subject of an Amber Alert last night has surrendered to police and will be charged with murder.

24-year old Curtis Everett Jeter was the suspect in the murder of a 20-year old woman Monday morning in South Dallas. police believe Jeter shot 20-year old Hope Janiceassia Hensley before taking off with his two year old boys.

Hensley was the aunt of 4-year old Curtis Jeter and 2-year old Seven Jeter.

The boys were found unharmed this morning overnight around 3:15am.

Dallas (WBAP/KLIF) – Dallas police say two young boys who were the subject of an Amber Alert Monday night have been found safe. The Amber Alert was canceled around 3:15AM.

Police say the boy’s father, 24-year old Curtis Jeter took 4-year old Curtis Jeter and 2-year old Seven Jeter after allegedly killing the boy’s aunt early Monday.

Police have not said whether Jeter was located. He was last known to be driving a gray, 1990s Cadillac sedan with damage to the driver’s side rear quarter panel.

Police identified Jeter’s alleged murder victim as 20-year old Janiceassia Hensley, who was shot and pronounced dead at a hospital early Monday.

 

According to police, she was shot in the neck when a bullet came through a window of her apartment inthe 4700 block of Meadow Street.

Hensley was described by family as a “smart, loving’ mother of 3, and aunt of 2-year old Seven Jeter and 4-year old Curtis Jeter. Police have not indicated where the boys were found or with whom.

DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF) The Dallas Police Department has issued an amber alert for two boys believed to have been taken by their father who police say is the suspect in a homicide.

4 year old Curtis Jeter and 2 year old Seven Jeter were last seen in the 5900 block of Highland Village Drive around 2:30 Monday afternoon. This is in the Southeast Oak Cliff area.

They are believed to be with their father, 24 year old Curtis Jeter II in a gray late 1990’s model Cadillac sedan with body damage to the driver side rear quarter panel. The father is described as an African American man, five foot six inches tall and around 160 pounds.

4 year old Seven Jeter is described as an African American child, two foot six inches tall, about 25 pounds and he was last seen wearing a white onesie with red rockets on the front.

2 year old Curtis Jeter is described as an African American child, about 2 foot eleven inches tall and around 40 pounds. He was wearing a blue and white onesie.

Anyone with information on their whereabouts is asked to call 911.
