FORT WORTH (WBAP/KLIF News) – Family and friends of a beloved Fort Worth teacher and her teenage son are mourning their shocking deaths in a double murder suicide this week.

The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office identified 39-year-old Holly Beverly and her 17-year-old son Titus as the victims in the tragic shooting.

Police say the shooter, identified as Beverly’s estranged husband Timothy Beverly, committed the murders at The Life of Westland Estates apartments on the 2900 block of Jonah Drive early Tuesday morning, before turning the gun on himself.

It was Titus’ 17th birthday.

The family would like them to be remembered for their lives and not the way they died.

Holly worked at Hope Works Christian Academy. Her son Titus and his two siblings also attended the school.

Titus had just graduated as the school’s valedictorian with dreams of enlisting in the Air Force.

According to a GoFundMe page, Valerie Kruse said Holly’s presence will be greatly missed.

“Holly loved Jesus and her family fiercely, and tirelessly provided for her three children as a single mother,” she said.

Kruse said Titus was always working towards his future.

“He planned to work for a while until he could fulfill his goal of serving our country in the armed forces,” she said.

Holly leaves behind two children Trinity and Tyrell.

Family and friends are raising money for unforeseen funeral expenses.
