Corinth Police Investigating Attempted Kidnapping of Young Girl Walking Home From School

CORINTH (WBAP/KLIF News) – Corinth Police are searching for the suspect in the alleged kidnapping attempt of a young girl who was walking home from school this week.

Investigators said the victim told police it happened on Wednesday around 4 p.m. on Robinson Rd. between Pine Hills Ln and Berkley Dr.

An older Hispanic man in a brown or tan pickup, possibly mid 2000’s model with a camper shell initially drove past her, stopped and then exited the passenger side of the truck.

He walked towards her, grabbed her by the arm and attempted to pull her into the truck. After the girl escaped his grasp, the man returned to the truck and sped away.

The suspect is described as 5’10” – 6′ tall, slightly overweight, dark brown hair possibly dyed, glasses, light brown with a gray goatee.

He has a possible skull tattoo on his left arm and a cut or scar on his left eyebrow.

The victim told police she thinks the man had been following her since March 31, 2021.

Corinth Police said they’ve made nearby jurisdictions aware of the attempt.
