Texas Has The Most Teams In NCAA Basketball TournamentPosted on March 15, 2021 Courtesy: Twitter Dallas (WBAP/KLIF/AP) – The Lone Star State will be well represented in the NCAA Basketball Tournament. In fact, seven Texas teams made the bracket, which ties a previous record set in 2018. Three schools, Baylor (1), Houston (2), and Texas (3) are among the top three seeds. Baylor headlines the South Region with the program’s first No. 1 seed. The Bears will open against 16th-seeded Hartford on Friday. They had never been higher than a No. 3 seed previously. Coach Scott Drew has guided the second-ranked Bears to two regional finals but hasn’t gotten them to a Final Four. The bracket includes ninth-ranked Ohio State as the 2-seed, followed by No. 8 Arkansas, No. 20 Purdue and No. 14 Villanova. Other teams in the big dance include Abilene-Christian, Texas Tech, North Texas and Texas Southern.
