Dallas (WBAP/KLIF) – After a Facebook post disparaging a former President and First Lady, a high-ranking Dallas Fire Rescue official is under investigation.

Lieutenant Troy Armstrong, a 32-year DFR veteran’s alleged post included two photos of Barack Obama and Michelle Obama.

In one of them, Mrs. Obama’s image had been altered; the caption reads, “Two men who had no business in the White House.”

In reaction, former Dallas NAACP President Arthur Fleming told WFAA, ‘Leadership matters.”

“If you’re going to be leading men and women of color, and that’s his mindset, then that’s going to be problems later on for people of color.”

Dallas Fire Rescue said that it had not received prior complaints about the post, but is looking into the matter.

It’s not the first time that DFR has had to address issues dealing with employee FB posts that violate the department’s social media guidelines.

A battalion chief was fired earlier this year in connection with a racially charged post about lynching.
