Austin (WBAP/KLIF) – The official count is in, and shows that when early voting closed Friday, 9,669,246 votes had been cast in Texas. That’s 700,000 more than were cast in the state during all of the 2016 election. The experts are now saying that by the end of the day Tuesday it’s quite possible more than 12,000,000 Texans will have voted. Just to compare, fewer than 9,000,000 voted in the last presidential election in 2016, and in 2018 slightly more than 8,000,000 cast ballots in the mid-terms.
