(WBAP/KLIF) — The criminal case against Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton is being sent back to Collin county. Paxton was indicted in 2015 for securities fraud but has yet to go to trial.
The case was moved to Houston after prosecutors argued Paxton is deeply connected to the North Texas political scene. But a Harris county district judge has moved the case back to Collin county on procedural grounds.
He said the trial should never have been moved in the first place.
Paxton is accused of persuading investors to buy stock in a technology firm without disclosing that he would be compensated for it.
