Two 18 Year Old Men Arrested in a Plano Murder

(WBAP/KLIF) — A murder in Plano’s Jack Carter Park has been solved by police. 18 year old Jacob Lyle Rusk was targeted and shot by two men at the park, last week. Rusk later died of a fatal gunshot wound at an area hospital .

Following an investigation, Plano police arrested 18 year old Rudhra Patel and 18 year old Abdulrahman Al Dulaimi for the Plano man’s murder.

Police say they believe this was a targeted incident and that the three men knew each other.  The murder suspects are currently being held in the Collin county detention center.

On October 4, 2020, Plano police detectives announced the arrest of two subjects in connection to the homicide of Jacob Lyle Rusk. Rudhra Ronakkumar Patel and Abdulrahman Qays Al Dulaimi, both 18-years old have been arrested and charged with murder. they are currently being held in the Collin county Detention Center in Mckinney. The parties involved in the incident were known to each other and this was a targeted incident and there is no indication there is any danger to the general public.

On October 3, 2020, Plano Police officers were dispatched to a shooting incident in the area of Jack Carter Park. Prior to officers arrival, they were made aware of a victim at a local hospital with a gunshot wound. based on the investigation, It was determined these two incidents were related. The victim died as a result of a fatal gunshot wound and the incident is being investigated as a homicide.  The victim has been identified as Jacob Lyle Rusk, an 18-year old resident of Plano.
