On Thursday, body cam footage was released in Chicago of a fatal police shooting. The victim attacked police officers, who were in the area on reports of a stabbing. When confronted, the police told the man to put his hands up and not to reach for what is believed to be a butcher’s knife. When he did not comply, the victim was tased. When that was not enough to take him down, and he began to lunge at an officer, the two others opened fire and took him down.
Chris watched the video and was in disbelief, seeing what officers have to go through. The audio of the incident and a message for Jacob Blake, as Chris says he should be grateful that he is still alive after reaching for a knife when confronted by police.
“This is why you get shot when you have a knife.”
