Here’s What Did the Damage Saturday Night

Storms that began near a frontal boundary in Oklahoma Saturday afternoon, developed enough lift and forward momentum to sweep toward North Texas, although they died out before reaching the border.  But the cool air-outflow exhaust from the dying storms produced a storm-generated cold front known as an outflow boundary.  The outflow boundary raced into Texas where it encountered a rich environment of high humidity and ambient temperatures at or above 100 (lots of lift).  The storms produced 50-70 mph downburst winds which caused widespread damage and a few injuries in an RV Park near Eagle Mountain Lake.
