Chicago (WBAP/KLIF) – The city of Chicago has pulled in its welcome mat, and says travelers coming from Texas and 14 other states are no longer free to come, and then go where they please. As of Monday, visitors from those 15 states will have to quarantine for two weeks after they arrive in Chicago. The states that Chicago has effectively banned all have increasing numbers of confirmed COVID-19 cases. Chicago city officials say those who ignore the new restriction will face possible fines.
The governors of New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut issued similar quarantine orders last week.
