(WBAP/KLIF) — Protesters are raising concerns that the president’s Dallas round table on racial injustice failed to include black law enforcement leaders.
Although many of the community’s black leaders attended the Gateway Church event, opponents argue that the police chief, county sheriff and district attorney, who are all black, should have received invites.
Dallas Police Chief Rene Hall, Dallas County Sheriff Marian Brown, and Dallas County District Attorney John Creuzot weren’t invited to the meeting.
Supporters of the President indicate that a large contingency of black leaders from church and civic organizations were in attendance. according to WFAA, the President was gathering input for new domestic policies.
