Hollywood, CA (WBAP/KLIF) – Actress Keke Palmer was on the frontlines of a peaceful demonstration in Hollywood, CA this week.
She passionately appealed to several members of the National Guard who were on the scene, to march alongside protesters.
Palmer quoted a recent tweet by President Trump about violence that’s crept up around the nations:
“When looting starts, the shooting starts. We have a president talking about the 2nd Amendment to use fire arms on people that are out here protesting.”
After one guard member said that they could only march a few yards because they had to control the area against looters, Palmer and the rest of the crowd got them to kneel for a short time in support of the cause. The gesture brought cheers from the crowd.
President Trump attempted to clarify his tweet that said “when the looting starts, the shooting starts,” writing that the controversial tweet was “spoken as a fact.”
