Laredo (WBAP/KLIF) – A private plane carrying three people had to make an emergency landing Thursday on a highway near Laredo. The Beechcraft Bonanza developed an unspecified problem in flight. Air traffic controllers in Houston notified Laredo Police that it was going to have to land on U.S. 59 about 12 miles east of Laredo. The pilot managed to land it safely on the highway, and no one was hurt. No word yet on where the flight originated, or where it was going.
