Frisco (WBAP/KLIF) – A four year old, small company in Frisco has won a huge Texas COVID-19 contract. MTX Group Inc., has won a $295 million state contract to track Texans potentially infected with the coronavirus. That’s known as “contact tracing,” and involves finding people who’ve come into close contact with others who have since tested positive for COVID-19. Public health officials say such tracing is vital to containing the spread of the virus. MTX Group was founded four years ago. It now has about 200 employees, 150 of them are based in India. On its website it describes itself as “The #1 Global Contact Tracing Application.”
