Dallas Officials Set Up Fund to Help Small Business’

DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF NEWS)- The city of Dallas will be helping small business effected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

The city is launching a five million dollar small business continuity fund, which will allow local business’ effected by the covid-19 pandemic to receive up to 10,000 dollars in grants and up to 50,000 dollars in low-cost loans.

“This money will go to business that can demonstrate a 25% drop in revenue because of COVID-19 and its associated restrictions,” said Dallas Mayor Eric Johnson

Applications will go live in May and grants and loans are expected to be disbursed in June.

“Small business’ are the life blood of the Dallas economy and we will continue to look for way to help our entrepreneurs who employ hundreds of thousands of people in our city,” said Mayor Johnson.
