Dallas Mayor Eric Johnson Speaking on WFAA’s Inside Texas Politics

DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF NEWS)- Restrictions put into place to prevent the spread of COVID-19 have caused an increase in layoffs across Texas.

But Dallas Mayor Eric Johnson says the government should provide assistance to those effected by the pandemic.

He spoke on WFAA’s Inside Texas Politics,

“The government’s mayor is the peoples money its tax money the tax payers gave it to the government,” said Johnson.

The service industry has particularly been hit hard as dine-in services at restaurants are now prohibited.

“We need to start figuring out places where we can shift effected industries like the service industries into less effected industries,” said Johnson.

Johnson does not know how long these restrictions will be in place
