WASHINGTON (AP) – Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren has ended her Democratic presidential bid after a disappointing finish in Super Tuesday states.
Her departure Wednesday morning leaves many political analysts and supporters wondering whether she’ll endorse Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders of former Vice President Joe Biden, who has recently emerged as the front runner.
Warren’s campaign initially had the markers of success: robust poll numbers, impressive fundraising, a national organization.
However, she was squeezed out by Sanders, who had an immovable base of voters she needed to advance.
In the end, she failed to win in her home state, finishing third behind Biden and Sanders.
