Dallas (WBAP/KLIF) – The so-called Leaning Tower of Dallas should reach the end of its brief life Monday morning. The tower is what’s left of an eleven story building that was almost completely destroyed by implosion a week ago. The central stack that carried the building’s elevator shafts and utilities survived the series of dynamite blasts that brought down everything else, but it wound up leaning to the east at about a 15 degree angle. That turned it into something of a social media sensation, but it was never intended to last. The Lloyd Nabors Demolition Company says it is ready to beat down the remains with a wrecking ball. If all goes well, the now semi-famous tower will be nothing more than a pile of rubble by noon, Monday.
