Denton (WBAP/KLIF) – Denton Police shot and killed a man who was raging through an apartment complex early Tuesday morning, threatening residents. Chief Frank Dixon says they had five officers on the scene at 3:00 am, dealing with a man who had been pounding on doors demanding entrance, and smashing light bulbs in the hallways. The officers could not calm him, and even tazed him twice without effect. When he charged them, and stabbed one of the officers,they opened fire. He was killed. The wounded officer was taken to a hospital where he is reported in stable condition.
Footage from the five officers’ body cams has been turned over to the Texas Rangers who will conduct the investigation.
